Chloe Woodger, Business Development Manager

I’m currently the Business Development Manager here at Surrey Ceramics. I started working at the pottery in 2009, initially being employed in the retail side of the business as an Assistant Buyer before moving into the sales team and taking up my current position. I’ve also spent time working in the workshop, making and finishing the products as well as glazing and operating the kilns.

As a result, I know exactly how all our products are made, the work that goes into every piece and the care that is taken with each item at every stage of the production process. It’s also given me the knowledge to be able to pull together a range of product shapes and colours that will work best for the customer. Its sometimes a different combination to what the client originally had in mind, but always one that works best for their establishment – and that’s down to our expertise and extensive knowledge of catering ware.

My role means you’ll work with me throughout the entire process of purchasing your crockery. From the initial meeting to discuss your brief, through to making sure your order is on track, I’ll be on hand to assist you with any enquiries along the way.

What I enjoy most about my role at Surrey Ceramics is finding solutions to even the most challenging of briefs. I love the problem-solving aspect of my role and finding the products that are right for our clients and their establishment.

Working with pottery is something I’m extremely passionate about. I love the creativity of the pottery industry and the passion I share with my colleagues about the pottery craft. That’s reflected in our products, with each of our products carefully handled at every step of the process, giving a real hand-finished quality.

During my time at Surrey Ceramics, I’ve had the pleasure of working on projects with Caffe Nero, Bombay Sapphire Distillery, Flight Club, Haddington House and East Coast Concepts amongst many others. If you’re thinking about a new tableware range and would like to find out more about how we could help, contact me on orders@surreyceramics.com.
